Challenge Card

I have used the sketch from oh-la-la challenge.
It lacks something?!?!?!?

Red hammer cardstock, paper from HOTP matted on red card
Inkadinkado stamp coloured with prisma pencils and blended with sanador
gems and flowers from stash

I struggle to tear paper,
so in an effort to distress the card which I felt being an old santa suited the theme,
I have used a metal ruler on the edges and inked with black. Perhaps this is why it
didn't work? Or, is it the gems? They were a required element, but I'm not sure. Ikki

Card for a friend

This is a thank you card for a kind friend. It is also only my second Tilda, I know I have a lot to learn with this style of crafting, but I'll keep having a go! Ikki
Papers frm Addison K-ology, Tilda image coloured with prisma pencils.

In the mood

I'm getting into Christmas mood and my room is covered ( sofa, two desks and floor, not to mention window sills ) with so much stuff that I can hardly move. I'm having to tread very carefully. Still at least I'm crafting again!

Love Holiday Magic

This card was for the DC Red Tilda challenge - she is not completely to the instructions, I shall have to start reading things twice, perhaps even three times would be better and then I might save myself some time. Still she is ON the red if not in it!. Can't get it right always can you!?!?!?! I used the CB winter house folder and embossed twice, the edging lines on the folder difficult to use in any other than a straight forward emboss, I have just about got away with it, but it took a long time. I made this card for the weekly DC challege - it is the first thing!?!?! (not sure that I like it) I have made in ages, but at least I've made a start. I'm struggling with my 'mojo' (I think this is the correct terminology for having lost my drive). I'm hoping my trip to the States and the purchase of a few (my hubby would say a lot) new goodies will give me the get up and go. If not, I shall have a busy time on ebay! Here's hoping this is not the last. Ikki

I'm real chuffed with this!

Chris very kindly sent me this award. It's call the Wylde Women award and the purpose of it is to send love and acknowledge to women who brighten your day, teach you new things and live their lives fully with generosity and joy". The rules are: 1 Your can give it to one or one hundred and any number inbetween - your choice. 2. Make sure you link to their site. 3 Link back to this blogsite http://www.tammyvitale.com/ so Tammy can visit all these wonderful women. 4. Remember the purpose of the award.

I was thrilled to received this award, but until now I have been unable to pass it on because of my inexperence . Now having mastered the art of linking (fingers crossed that is) I am sending this award to three new friends I have made who have all given me a new insight in crafting, shown me kindness, and given me pleasure in visiting their sites.
Barbara
Viv
Ricas
I feel very fortnate to have made such good friends in the crafting world, and I hope you will visit their sites and enjoy them as much as I do.

I've been tagged

I have recently been tagged by a very talented lady Chris Check out her blog - it's interesting and inspirational.

If you are tagged, you must firstly post these rules:
1.Write 7 stange characteristics about yourself. They interest us all!
2.Tag 6 other people at the end of your Post.
3.Visit everyone that you have tagged and a leave a comment on their blog to let them know that they have been tagged.

So here goes:
1. I can live without my mobile phone
2. I hate not being able to do something - like linking this!
3. I like young people and strangely they seem to like me!
4. I still went to the local youth club (albeit as a leader) at 50 - did that place rock - great
5. I rather be driven than drive the car, especially on the motorway
6. I love rock and roll music and jiving - I've been doing it for a long time now
7. I went back to school at 40 and took 3 O levels and an A level

I have only recently joined the blogging world and as yet know only a few bloggers, and most of those have already been tagged, but I would like to tag
Heather
who has been a great help and inspiration. And I like her music, which is a good job because for some reason I have yet to discover, I seem to be linked to it without doing anything. Ikki

Georgia's 21st

A card that has given me serious thinking time. This is often what happens to me when someone for whom I'm making the card for say "Do whatever you think". One of these days I would'nt be surprised if they don't like my whatever! But fingers crossed this time.

TIP - Did you know?

I didn't until last week when I read a tip from a friend on another forum (thanks Storm), that if you are a DST user and that if you have trouble getting things positoned in the right place (like me) then......... try this. Put the tape on as usual - remove covering - run a prit stick lightly over tape, and hey presto the tape then becomes repositionable. AND, it works!

Diamond Wedding

I have recently made these two Diamond Wedding cards for two different customers but for the same celebrating couple. After many thinking hours, I did eventually manage to come up with two different designs and they liked them! What a relief!

Hi Friends

Unfortunately I have no time for crafting at the moment, but I hope to be back soon. In the meantime I'm posting a few cuttlebug cards that I made recently. Hope you like them. You can't go wrong with a cuttlebug can you! and they are so satifying to design (and easy the make, but mums the word).

Triple embossing Tip

Chrissie (Simply One of a Kind ) recently shared with us her tips on triple embossing. I have been asked how did I achieve the initial on my recent 18th BC. The was also a form of embossing - I started with the first layer of powder on a chipboard initial, heated until melted, then I added glue from a prit stick in certain places, then powder, then melted again. This can be done a third time if need to give right effect and more texture. It can also cover up any rough areas on chipboard letters that seem to be inevitable on the letters I have! But, then they were cheap! Hope you find this useful, BFN Ikki

Where's the week gone!

I cannot believe how time manages to pass by so quickly. The days just lately seem to merge - is it an age thing that I can't remember things from yesterday, and things from the past seem so clear? I have not managed to do much crafting this week because of family probs and extra bowling, and I have to say that I have missed being in my little corner. I have, however, completed a little experiment in colouring and using an image I received in a recent swap. Hope you think I'm improving . I don't know the name of the little lady, so if anyone can enlighten me, please do! BFN ikki
