Sketch Saturday
This week's challenge was for a sketch that I thought was interesting. So I had a go, and made this.
I used papers from HOTP
A stamped image that was sent to me in a swap, if anyone knows the make I would be interested to know. The flower so coloured with prisma pencils and given more dimension with glossy accents. The background was coloured with 3 shades of chalk.
I finished off with a bow and a few beads.
Thanks for dropping by.

Wow, another award
This lovely award was given to me by
Vickie my new USA SBS26 sister. Her blog is a delight to follow - pop in and have a peek. Thank you, Vickie so much for thinking of me. I'm so pleased that we have made contact, just like this award.
This blog invests and believes the PROXIMITY - nearness in space, time and relationships! These blogs are exceedingly charming. These kind bloggers aim to find and be friends. They are not interested in prizes or self-aggrandizement. Our hope is that when the ribbons of these prizes are cut, even more friendships are propagated. Please give more attention to these writers!
Deliver this award to eight bloggers who must choose eight more and include this cleverly-written text into the body of their award.
I hereby pass this on to great bloggers who so well fit this award, and I'm saving 3 for those I'm yet to met!
Kate
Viv
Anne
Barbara
Chris

TYI
I've had a lovely time
I have just returned from visiting my daughter and two beautiful granddaughters. Caitlin is 5 and Megan is 2, and guess what they both love crafting!
You can see why I enjoyed myself!
Watching big sis and waiting for her turn
Nan being told just where to cut the ribbon
Megan likes scrunching paper and lots of glue
You can see why I enjoyed myself!
Need a laugh and a warning - read on....
Hi, I'm back on line and thought I'd give you all a laugh and also a warning. Just before my pc went 'funny' I was on the lookout for a particular Penny Black sentiment stamp. Wanting, as crafters do, a good buy I googled Penny Black and found numerous sites. I clicked on several and had a look round but couldn't find what I wanted. On the next site I found something I definitely didn't want....It was a porn site under the PB name and it was very graphic. I quickly closed it down and my pc went berserk....warnings flashed, I was asked if I wanted to download some programme to stop the Trojan....I had picked up. I have to say I was panicked and started to download but then realised I didn't recognise the programme's name so stopped the procedure. I then ran my own check and found I had indeed picked up this so called trojan horse. It's now safely deal with, but from then on my pc began acting strangely. No wonder the shock it had! So, the moral of this tale is -beware when google PB - or like me you'll get quite a lot more than a stamp!

Tuesday 25th November
Hi Friends, just popped in on a very old computer usually in the shed to say hello - it's a very slow process to do anything but it least it's not as poorly as my own pc. I'm hoping (everything crossed) to be back to full speed soon. Really feel at a loss - I never realised just how much I relied on surfing. Hope to catch up with you all very soon. Ikki

Cuttlebug Challenge
I thought I couldn't manage this week's challenge because I don't have many dies suitable for embossing. BUT, I found a postage stamp die that came free with the bug and that I have never used, and ...... I came up with this....for a friend who loves black cards...
Black c/s embossed with snowflake folder and scored with eazi board
Tag in red hammer c/s embossed with snowflake with edges heat embossed in silver
Eyelet also heat embossed in silver (take care doing this not only when heating but also when closing eyelet.)
Embellishment for tag cut with postage stamp die and embossed with Wedding bell folder and then heat embossed in silver.
Silver double bow and peeloff to finish.
Unfortunately being black the picture doesn't show up very well.

A trio of Cuttlebug Christmas cards
I love messing about with my Cuttlebug and I came up with these designs. I've had the Nestie scalloped circles for ages and never found a use for them before. I was pleased with the results on these cards. They are simple, easy to do and a bit different.
I'm making cards this year for the North Staffs Breast Cancer Unit and hopefully these will sell. Hope you like them, thanks for looking. Ikki

Two challenges in one!
G.O.S.H
I have recent joined SBS#26 and one of my adopted sisters
Kate is hosting an appeal as follows:-
Great Ormond Street Hospital card appeal
One of the reasons why I think we love to craft is, not just for the pleasure we get from doing it, but also from the pleasure of giving something handmade to someone. As we come up to Christmas it's nice to think not only about our nearest and dearest that we are going to create for but also about those who may not be able to give a card to someone because they are in hospital, are sick, in the forces abroad or do not have the means.I'm setting up a scheme that I hope might grow and I'd love it if you could join me!
If you are interesting in helping Kate - you will find more info on her blog Yours Truly on the above link. She is so right in what she says about the pleasure we get from crafting and giving something handmade to someone.
